About
- ScrapKins
- ScrapKins® is an NYC-based Creativity brand for kids that follows the adventures of a tribe of monsters ("ScrapKins") who build a world out of the things we throw away. Through school visits and Recycled Art-Making workshops, the “ScrapKins” teach children to turn milk cartons into pirate ships and towel tubes into dinosaurs by finding creativity in common materials. We have created programs for Whole Foods Markets, Seventh Generation, Clif Bar, The Doha Film Institute in Qatar, Make, Speakaboos.com, Wildlife Conservation Society at The Bronx Zoo, World Science Festival, Maker Faire and Scholastic Afterschool. Created in 2006, by children's designer Brian Yanish and based on his childhood drawings, the ScrapKins mission is to inspire creativity and DIY resourcefulness in kids everywhere.

This is a fun craft. I have a lot of those boxes that are empty in my rented self storage in perth. So I have the slight idea on what to do with them. It would be a shame to throw them away.
ReplyDeleteSherry - you can make your own versions too - give them 5 eyes, horns, and 6 legs - or make it a cat, dog... the possibilities are endless!
DeleteThanks for dropping by!
Tissue boxes and cardboard rolls can be used in many ways. I agree that this is a fun craft and this can be a good project for our kids.
DeleteHaving a million fans is quite hard even with the large membership of Facebook. Many reach a high number because of referrals and strategies but in order to have this massive number, it does mean that the seventh generation has a wide fan base.
